Consumer Health Data Privacy Notice
Version 1.0. Effective October 5, 2026.
This notice applies to residents of Washington and to anyone whose consumer health data is collected in Washington, under the Washington My Health My Data Act. It supplements the Nudge Privacy Policy. Where the two overlap, this notice governs for consumer health data.
Why Nudge has this notice
Nudge shares your precise location with people you have approved. Washington law treats precise location as consumer health data when it could reasonably reveal that a person sought or received health care, for example a position near a clinic, a hospital, or a pharmacy. Nudge does not collect health information and does not infer anything about health from location. But because a location can reveal a visit, we treat every location we handle as consumer health data under this law.
What we collect
- Your current position, latitude and longitude with a timestamp, while you have at least one Always On relationship. One position, replaced on each report, deleted after 24 hours.
- Coordinates held during a five minute view session, deleted when the session ends.
- A location you send in answer to a nudge, deleted after 24 hours.
We do not collect any other category of consumer health data. We collect no health conditions, treatments, diagnoses, prescriptions, or biometric data, and we do not derive any of these from location.
Where it comes from
From your own phone, when you have chosen to share with someone.
Why we collect it
To show your location to the people you have approved, according to the sharing type you hold with each of them. We have no other purpose. We do not use location for advertising, profiling, analytics, or research.
Who we share it with
Inside Nudge: only the people you have approved to see your location.
Service providers, who process it solely on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes:
- Google Cloud, which hosts our database and our servers.
- Google Maps, which receives requests for map tiles for the area being viewed.
We do not sell consumer health data. We do not share it with affiliates. We do not share it with any third party for that party's own purposes. No sale has ever occurred and none is intended.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- Confirm whether we are collecting, sharing, or selling your consumer health data, and access it, including a list of the third parties and affiliates with whom we have shared it.
- Withdraw consent to our collection and sharing of it.
- Have it deleted.
To withdraw consent, change your sharing type to Nudge Only, remove the relationship, or revoke location permission in your device settings. To delete it, delete your account in the app or at nudgegeo.com/delete-account. Deletion removes your location at once, and any copy in our backups or recovery log within seven days.
To exercise any right or ask a question, email privacy@nudgegeo.com. We respond within 45 days. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and we will answer the appeal within 45 days. If the appeal is denied, you may contact the Washington Attorney General.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
